Million Dollar Bill: Do You Have Yours Yet?

I had to laugh when I read the story about the guy who tried to open a bank account with a one million dollar bill. If only all crooks were that dumb! There is no such thing as a million dollar bill and there never was one. When the bank teller refused, Alexander D. Smith became belligerent. He was charged with disorderly conduct and two counts of forgery.

  1. I think he should be acquitted when they try him on the forgery charge for the million dollar bill. My dictionary says that forgery is “the act of making or producing an illegal copy of something so that it looks genuine, usually for financial gain”.

If there is no such thing as a million dollar bill and never was one, then his was not a forgery, but an original work of art (unless he copied someone else’s original work of art, in which case the original artist should sues him). Now, if they wanted to lay a charge of being an idiot, he’d probably have a hard time weaseling out of that one.

  2. LOL! So true. A work of art? I wonder what it would be worth? It looks like it’s been in his pocket for awhile. ;)
