Belichick Has Been Cheating Since 2000

Bill Belichick has been video taping opposing teams defensive moves ever since he became the coach for the New England Patriots in 2000. This information came to light during a meeting with Senator Arlen Specter and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell yesterday. Specter called the meeting so that Goodell could explain why he destroyed the Spygate evidence.
Belichick, the coach who walked off on his team, told Goodell that he thought the video taping was legal. What a liar. Nobody is going to believe that he thought spying and taping the opposing teams moves was acceptable behavior. They need to fire this guy from football. Period!
And what about Roger Goodell? He destroyed the notes and tapes that incriminated Belichick in the whole scandal. Why was he so quick to get rid of it? That’s what Senator Specter wanted to know and so do we! We also want to know how much Belichick paid him to destroy the evidence and sweep it all under the astroturf?
And then there’s Matt Walsh. He’s the guy who did the video taping. Goodell offered him indemnity to tell the truth and hand over anything he “took improperly”. Sen. Specter also wants to offer him a deal. We don’t think he should trust the evidence with Goodell. What do you think?

I would like to know when Congress decided that an internal NFL rules violation warranted a Congressional hearing. Did I miss a Constitutional amendment somewhere?

@Max - Thanks!
@Michael - I was also wondering why the senator called a meeting for an NFL issue but I think it has more to do with the destroyed evidence. That is what he was mostly asking about. I think there might be more going on then what we have heard so far.
