Bill Belichick, the coach of the New England Patriots, who is accused of cheating by filming their competitors defensive moves, has denied any wrongdoing. In a recent interview with the press, he states: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky…oops, wrong quote…here it is, Belichick says: “In my entire coaching career, I’ve never seen another team’s practice film prior to playing that team,” he said. “I have never authorized, or heard of, or even seen in any way, shape, or form any other team’s walkthrough. We don’t even film our own. We don’t even want to see ourselves do anything, that’s the pace that it’s at. Regardless, I’ve never been a part of that.”
Matt Walsh, the person who was allegedly the person filming for the cheating Belichick, has indicated that he has incriminating evidence but wants to be guaranteed that he will be protected legally from any lawsuits.
Last week NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had a meeting with Senator Arlen Specter to explain why he destroyed video tapes and other evidence after finding that the Patriots had taped the defensive moves of the Jets prior to their regular-season opener game in which they won. Belichick was subsequently fined $500,000 and the Pats were fined another $250,000 plus the loss of their first round draft choice.
Heads are going to start rolling and it’s probably going to start with Belichick.
